Description
Part of our Barrel Aged Series, these bourbon barrel wood chunks began their journey as a 100% American white oak barrel aging Old Rip Van Winkle for 10 years. After it was dumped, the barrel was revived by Maplewood Brewing in Chicago where it aged Cuppa, a coffee stout, for 15 months. The result was the popular Cuppa Neat.
The barrel was then secured directly from Maplewood Brewing, and then processed and packaged by hand into what you see now.
These vary from our Single Barrel series, which is made from single-use bourbon barrels shortly after they were dumped, packaged by the single barrel. As opposed to other brands, none of these products use fillers. Every piece you get is part of an authentic bourbon barrel. You can see the char and the penetration into the wood and smell the bourbon that was aged in them.
