Down With the Swine – Pork Rub – With maple sugar, bourbon infused sea salt, and a sriracha kick, Down With the Swine is a foot-stompin’, banjo-pickin’, finger-lickin’ good time. Just the right amount of heat to satisfy the heat-seeker, but enough flavor and sweetness to balance it out for everyone else. Perfect on pulled pork, ribs, pork loin, chops, pork belly burnt ends, chicken wings, salmon, and veggies.
Song Bird – Chicken Seasoning – Like the sweet morning melodies signaling the promise of spring, Song Bird will soothe your taste buds and warm your soul. With bold flavors of citrus, herbs, and ginger, Song Bird is perfect on all things chicken, turkey, seafood, and veggies and will have your food singing from grill to plate.
Mocking Bird – Spicy Chicken Seasoning – Like a mean fiddle on a Saturday night, Mocking Bird will knock your socks off. With the same tasty base of its non-spicy cousin, Song Bird, Mocking Bird is loaded with habanero, sriracha, and an umami punch, giving your chicken, seafood, and veggies a heat that is not for the faint of heart. Are you up for it? Sorry, this one is not gluten free.

I bought this rub a little over a month ago and it was the best purchase this whole Christmas season-ing… see what I did there. Seriously, I season everything and since I bought these I’ve used them almost exclusively for all of my proteins.
Down With the Swine is a great overall rub although it does seem to go best with pork. It’s has a great sweet/smokey balance with a little kick (2 out of 5 on their spice level). Song Bird is not spicy at all (0 out of 5 on spice scale) and I find it goes really well not just on chicken but on seafood as well. It tastes like it has some herbs & spices you find in Old Bay which is one of my favorite spices. Mocking Bird is unexpectedly spicy (4 out of 5 on spice scale). If this is a 4 out of 5, I don’t know what a 5 out of 5 on the spice scale is. I love a good kick so I use this one a lot on chicken when I’m not cooking for my girlfriend. But be careful if you can’t handle heat.
What I really like about these rubs is that they aren’t very salty, which means you can control the saltiness to your liking. I add more salt when I cook for myself and add less when I’m cooking for others. Honestly, these are all fantastic and I will definitely reorder when I’m low. My only feedback is that I would advertise the spice levels a little more in the pictures so consumers know what they’re getting themselves into. Aside from that, these three rubs alone are a fixture in my house and will justify the purchase of a smoker in the very near future! Great job!
