After 5 days of voting in our Instagram story, you’ve helped us adopt the defending national champion LSU Tigers this college football season.

LSU will be the focus of our weekly Tailgate Tuesday feature, which will be a recipe posted each Tuesday themed around the upcoming opponent.

We’ve been doing this for years on our now defunct Michigan football site, Maize and Go Blue, with sponsors such as Meat Church, Gentry’s BBQ, Lane’s BBQ, and Rosewood Block. Now that the Big Ten isn’t playing this season (as of now) we’re continuing the feature with a new team — though our hearts still reside in Ann Arbor.

For the week that LSU has a bye (the first weekend in November), we’ll fill in with Texas vs West Virginia, since the Longhorns were the runner-up in the voting.

We also have plans to tap other pitmasters for weekly Tailgate Tuesday collaborations and challenges, so stay tuned for that. Tailgate Tuesday will begin next Tuesday in advance of LSU’s season-opener against Mississippi State.
